1. What did you do this past week?
This week, I prepared for the test. Although in hindsight, I should have gone over the most recent topics a bit more since they weren’t as engraved in my head when I sat down for the test. I think for the last question I had a brain fart and ended up writing an infinite loop instead of returning an iterable object. Aggh, the agony of walking out of a test and then realizing you messed up.

1. What did you do this past week?
This week the focus shifted from this class to another class, maybe a little too much, but I did get a chance to look over some of the notes from class in preparation for the exam. In class, we learned about the function arguments. I remember thinking, “Wouldn’t it be nice to pass in arguments as a list?”, at some point during my work with Java and C, but viola! Python. At this point, I’m unsure whether I hate Python more or love it. I’m beginning to embrace Python…what has happened to me?

1. What did you do this past week?
My partner and I wrapped up netflix crossing the T’s and dotting the I’s which took an exorbitant amount of time. We crossed our fingers as we awaited the dreaded email that our submission was invalid, but it seems to have never come. We can only assume for now that we are safe.

1. What did you do this past week?
A group of my friends and I participated in the Health App Design Challenge. We used this opportunity to force ourselves to develop on Android. We really forced ourselves. We slaved away at our app for about 30 hours to understand how the Android platform works and create the GUI for the app. In reality, maybe there was more time spent on the GUI than anything else. Programming was really the same, but the way the code worked in the system was the unfamiliar part.

1. What did you do this past week?
I worked furiously on collatz. Then, with the help of classmates, the Sphere Online Judge (SPOJ) allowed me to pass. Now I am 17th place for PYTH3.4 in that problem. Whoo! I also sped read the Extreme Programming book because there doesn’t seem to be too much technical knowledge and felt more conversational. For the Javascript book, I believe I read a lot of it earlier in the semester, so I refreshed my memory a little before the quiz.
Week of 24 Jan 2016
We start the cycle again. The two lectures we have had basically comprised of syllabus day and an introduction to the first project: Collatz.
